I am confused, but approving regardless

a has-been comedian tried to get people to write to UK government to defund a trans youth Organization called Mermaids. Purely out of spite, hbomberguy decided to run a charity stream to raise money for Mermaids.

In it, he played DK Country to 101% completion. It blew up way bigger than he expected, with John Romero, Adam Conover, Alexandria Ocasia-Cortez, and even the CEO of Mermaids coming onto talk. Numerous lovely trans and queer folk came on to to talk about their experiences.

At one point, Grant Kirkhope (Donkey Kong’s VA) came on and said Trans Rights! in DK’s voice.

He beat the late last night but the stream is still going if you want to check it out. They’ve raised $343k so far.

It’s been an incredible weekend for the Trans community, and seeing everyone come out in support has been nothing short of heartwarming.
